Dhaulagiri Expedition

Mount Dhaulagiri is the world’s seventh tallest peak. It is a massive Himalayan mountain in north-central Nepal. It is the tallest peak that is fully contained inside Nepal. The summit of Dhaulagiri runs over thirty kilometers, providing shape to an otherwise convoluted landscape of twisting ridges, glaciers, and ice falls. Several pyramid-shaped summits rise along the main crest. Four of these peaks, from east to west, exceed 25,000 feet in elevation. Our team is attempting to climb Dhaulagiri I, the highest of these four summits.
