Vietnam’s first “sleepless city” has opened.

On April 21, the Grand World, Vietnam’s first-ever “sleepless city,” was launched in Phu Quoc island city, Kien Giang Province.
The entertainment venue, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, includes shopping streets, a night market, street festivals, a Teddy Bear Museum, a 3D multimedia show featuring Vietnamese traditional culture, a beach square covering an area of 19,500 square meters, an urban park, and other attractions.

The 85-hectare Grand World is part of the Phu Quoc United Center’s “tourism-entertainment universe.” Vingroup Joint Stock Company has spent more than VND66,000 billion (US$2.85 billion) in the mega tourist complex, which spans over 1,000 hectares.

The Phu Quoc United Center also set five national records, including the country’s largest entertainment and leisure complex, the largest bamboo construction called Bamboo Legend built from more than 32,000 bamboo trunks, Vietnam’s first Teddy Bear Museum, the largest 3D multimedia show featuring the most historical events, and the largest floating multimedia show inspired by European culture.
